In a world where healthcare decisions can quickly become overwhelming, Chris Glaser has built his work around something much simpler, helping people understand their options and feel confident in the choices they make. As a Medicare advisor with Plus 65 Medicare Advisors, Chris has spent more than a decade guiding individuals and families through one of the most important transitions in their lives.
“I’ve lived in this parish for 18 years, and I just love helping people,” he shared. That sense of home is what drives his approach. While he is licensed to serve clients across Louisiana, Livingston Parish is where his focus naturally falls. It is where he lives, where his family is rooted, and where he continues to build relationships face to face.
Chris describes his role not as a salesperson, but as an educator. “I’ve been in the Medicare industry for 11 years… I’ve always seen myself more as an educator,” he explained. “I sit down with people and help them understand what their options are so they can make the best decision.” In an industry filled with fine print, changing policies, and an overwhelming number of plans, that guidance can make all the difference.
Through his work with Plus 65 Medicare Advisors, Chris helps individuals approaching 65, as well as those who may qualify earlier due to disability, navigate coverage options across multiple providers. Unlike agents tied to a single company, he operates as a broker, allowing him to compare plans from a wide range of carriers. “As a broker, I can represent all the companies. I can make sure they’re getting the best fit,” he said.
For many, the instinct is to call a national hotline or enroll online. Chris sees that as a missed opportunity for clarity. “A lot of people don’t think about talking with a local agent. They’ll call an 800 number or go online, and they really don’t understand what they’re getting into,” he said. His approach is intentionally personal, meeting clients wherever they are most comfortable, whether that is at their kitchen table, a local coffee shop, or his office. “When you work with me, it doesn’t cost you anything. I’ll sit down and talk with you face to face, and I’m still there if you have questions.”
That ongoing relationship is especially important because Medicare plans are not static. “Each year, all the plans change,” Chris explained. “We do annual reviews to make sure the benefits are still meeting their needs.” It is a level of consistency and follow through that extends far beyond initial enrollment.
Chris’s path into Medicare was not a straight line. Before entering the Medicare field, he held several salesfocused roles, including selling Rainbow vacuum cleaners, working in car sales, and later transitioning into banking. Over time, he found himself searching for something more meaningful, which ultimately led him into the Medicare industry. “I never thought about going into Medicare,” he said. “But when I got the opportunity, I really just fell in love with it.” What began as a career shift quickly became a calling rooted in service.
Outside of his work, Chris’s life revolves around family and faith. He and his wife will be celebrating 25 years of marriage soon, and together they are raising two sons, ages 18 and 16. Weekends are often spent at the ballpark supporting his youngest son’s baseball games, or traveling when time allows. At home, he enjoys cooking, keeping up with LSU sports, and spending time with their rescue dog, Sparky, who has become part of the family’s everyday life. “It’s really all about family,” he said. “We’re very involved in our church, and we just enjoy spending that time together.”
That same sense of care carries into his work in the community. Whether speaking with local groups or simply taking the time to answer questions one on one, Chris approaches each interaction with patience and intention.
At its core, his message to Livingston Parish is simple. “I just love helping people,” he said.
In an industry that can feel impersonal and transactional, Chris Glaser offers something different, a local voice, a steady guide, and a commitment to making sure no one has to navigate Medicare alone.
