Kimberly Cantrelle of Glam 2 Geaux

Behind the Glam

Posted

There are some people who build a business, and then there are people who build an entire presence around themselves. Kimberly Cantrelle somehow managed to do both at the same time.

What began years ago with pageants, self-taught glam, and a love for beauty has evolved into Glam 2 Geaux, a full beauty, tanning, and boutique experience rooted right here in Livingston Parish.

Originally from Erath, Louisiana, Cantrelle’s journey into the beauty industry started long before social media algorithms and viral videos ever entered the picture. Through pageantry and titles like Cattle Queen and Erath 4th of July Queen, she learned early on how much confidence could come from feeling polished and put together. At first, the hair, makeup, and tanning were simply things she learned for herself. Over time, people started asking her to do theirs too.

That small beginning slowly turned into a career.

What makes Cantrelle’s story stand out is how naturally the business grew alongside her personality. She did not step into the beauty industry through a corporate route or by chasing trends. She built it in real time, learning through experience, travel, clients, weddings, events, and years of showing up for people during moments where they wanted to feel their absolute best.

Even now, the “To Geaux” part of Glam 2 Geaux still means something. While operating a full studio in Walker, Cantrelle continues traveling on weekends for weddings, events, and on-location glam appointments, balancing the demands of entrepreneurship, content creation, beauty services, and motherhood all at once.

And somewhere along the way, the internet found her too.

Under the handle @andabottleofwine, Cantrelle built a massive audience across TikTok and Facebook through humor, storytelling, and unapologetically Louisiana content that resonated with people far beyond Livingston Parish. Her videos feel less like curated influencer content and more like conversations you would overhear at a backyard gathering or around a kitchen island with friends. Honest, funny, occasionally chaotic, and entirely authentic.

That authenticity became the foundation for something much bigger than social media fame.

Rather than using virality as an exit strategy, Cantrelle used it to build something tangible back home. From launching her own tanning products and online boutique, to opening a physical storefront in Walker, she transformed online influence into a real-world business that people can physically walk into and experience.

Recently, Cantrelle unveiled her newly renovated beach-themed Glam 2 Geaux studio and boutique located at 9422 Florida Boulevard, Suite C-2 in Walker. The space combines beauty services, tanning, boutique shopping, and self-care all under one roof. Clients can book spray tans, hair and makeup appointments, and teeth whitening while shopping swimsuits, accessories, branded merchandise, and curated boutique pieces throughout the studio.

The atmosphere itself reflects the brand she has spent years building online. Bright, welcoming, feminine, a little beachy, a little boujee, and still unmistakably Louisiana.

But underneath the aesthetic and online success is years of work most people never see. Long weekends traveling for weddings. Building clientele from scratch. Learning how to navigate social media before businesses fully understood its power. Raising a family while managing bookings, inventory, products, content, and customer relationships simultaneously.

There is something especially admirable about women who figure out how to grow multiple things at once without losing themselves in the process. Cantrelle’s success feels particularly modern in that way. She built a brand around personality instead of perfection, and in doing so, created something people connect to because it still feels human.

In many ways, Glam 2 Geaux reflects what modern Louisiana entrepreneurship looks like now. It is no longer confined to a single service or storefront. It is personality-driven, community-centered, digital and local all at once.

For Kimberly Cantrelle, the glam may have been where the story started, but it is certainly not where it ended.
